Winner of Telluride Indie Film Festival
This was a short film based on a feature script. Shot on 35mm with Panavision lenses over a span of a weekend, it won multiple awards and won $10,000 Grand Prize from Showtime. The short was given to Q. Tarantino while he was writing the original Kill Bill and sure enough, the concept ended up being adapted by Tarantino for the Lucy Liu character. Even a piece of the soundtrack from “Kat” ended up being in Kill Bill.
“I just hope Quentin will one day be an Exec. Producer on Kat, the feature film, just as he should for being so inspired by Kat”.
